Unique Designs & Balloons was born from a deeply personal journey of resilience, reinvention, and the belief that joy can be created — even in the midst of life’s most difficult moments.

Our founder, April, began her journey after a life-altering divorce that left her a single mother of four sons, including one with special needs. At a crossroads, and unsure of her path, it was a simple question from her child — “Mom, what do you do?” — that ignited a spark within her.

With limited resources and a determination to create joy despite her circumstances, April crafted her very first balloon arch for a family event. That act of creativity opened the door to a new purpose. Encouraged by her aunt and later inspired by industry professionals like Nigil and Marlene, April attended a balloon design showcase in Las Vegas, an experience that forever changed the course of her life.

Since then, she has spent over two decades growing in the event and décor industry, collaborating with respected organizations and creating unforgettable moments for weddings, corporate functions, milestone celebrations, and more. Every design is a reflection of her passion, precision, and care.

Now based in Fort Pierce, April and her team are excited to serve the local and surrounding communities, bringing not only exceptional balloon art and party rentals but also love, hope and happiness.
